NOTICE

At this time we would like to remind our patrons that you have the ability to renew your car tags online. You will need to use the iKan app, https://ikan.ks.gov/ using the PIN number provided on your renewal form. There will be a minimal fee to use your debit or credit card online or over the phone. If you do not have a PIN number you can mail the renewal in or call our office and we can try to renew them over the phone. You can call 785-364-3791. 

In addition, the second half of your property taxes are due on May 10th. You can mail these in, postmarked by May 10th or pay them online at https://www.kansas.gov/propertytax/.

You can renew your Driver's License online using the iKan app if you are between the ages of 22-50 and not needing the Real ID.

***Drivers License services are available by appointment only for Jackson County residents only***

Many Courthouse Offices are doing business on the first floor only or by appointment. Please call the appropriate office for guidance on how to conduct your business. The south entrance is open to the public.

the jackson county appraiser's office is accepting applications for a clerk/data collector. duties will include working with the public, computer data entry, phone interviews and property inspections. Position is full time, monday through friday with occasional travel for training. basic math, computer skills and the ability to work with the public are required. a background in real estate, construction or advanced computer skills will be helpful. benefits include paid leave, holidays and health insurance.
