COURTHOUSE CLOSINGS

The County Courthouse offices will be closed in observation of Christmas.

POSITION OPENINGS:

CLERK/DATA COLLECTOR

The Jackson County Appraiser's Office is accepting applications for a clerk/data collector. Duties will include working with the public, computer data entry, phone interviews and property inspections. Position is full time, Monday through Friday with occasional travel for training. Basic math, computer skills and the ability to work with the public are required. A background in real estate, construction or advanced computer skills will be helpful. Benefits include paid leave, holidays, and health insurance. Applications accepted until January 3, 2020. AUTO/TAX/DRIVER'S LICENSE CLERK

The Jackson County Treasurer's Office is accepting applications for a auto/tax/driver's license clerk. Excellent public relations, computer and communication skills are required for this position. Applications may be picked up in the Treasurer's Office, Room 206 at the Courthouse and accepted until December 16, 2019. EOE

HEAVY EQUIPMENT/GRADER OPERATOR

Jackson County road and Bridge Department is accepting applications for a full time heavy equipment/grader operator position for the southwestern area of Jackson County. Applicant must have 1 to 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operations and manual labor. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Class B CDL. Applications may be picked up at the Jackson County Clerk's Office, Room 201, Courthouse, 400 New York Avenue, Holton, Kansas or at the Road and Bridge Office at 24569 Highway 75, Holton, Kansas, or can be printed from the link below. Alcohol and drug testing is required. Deadline is December 12, 2019. EOE

TRUCK DRIVER  

Jackson County Road and Bridge is accepting applications for a full time truck driver position. Applicant must have 1 to 3 years experience, a high school diploma or GED and a valid Class B CDL. Applications may be picked up at the Jackson County Clerk's Office, Room 201, Courthouse-400 New York Avenue, Holton, Kansas or at the Road and Bridge Office at 24569 Highway 75, Holton, Kansas, or can be printed from the link below.
